Team Waggoner Earns Their 20th 1st Place Win
April 3, 2008 – There was a ProROCK event which took place over the weekend in Cougar Buttes, CA and Cody and Jim took on their hardest competition to date… themselves!
The team was looking forward to a little pre-series competition to get them geared up for the WE ROCK Perris event in a couple weeks. When we realized no other trophy class rigs signed up it was a little bit of a let down, so Cody and Jim used the event as a great opportunity to improve their skills as a team!
Even though they went first on each course they ran a pretty flawless weekend. The BF Goodrich Tires worked awesome sticking to the rocks and climbing up boulders both Saturday and Sunday. Cody says “the new Ryan Safety firesuit feels very comfortable and moves where I need to move. The new safety belts kept me snug in the rig too.”
Spectators cheered them on as they put on a show climbing through each course with ease. “The rig is working great!” Cody says.
“The engine sounds and feels the best that it ever has. With our new CBM Motorsports built motor I don’t have to worry about another engine failure. “ Now Cody can focus on what he does best, DRIVE.
Cody even took some time out with the fans and tested out other kinds of crawlers. I think the young man was trying to sell Cody his remote control crawler and if Cody didn’t have to start on the next course he probably would have offered to buy it right their on the spot. Cody had just as much fun driving the remote control crawler as he does driving in his own buggy.
I guess this will be the next item on his toy wish list.
As they all say… A WIN IS A WIN, IS A WIN! Congrats to Cody and Jim on the teams 20th 1st Place Victory since 2001.
To date TWR has competed in 62 events in 8 states and have the following stats:
20 - 1st Place 5 - 1st Place Series Titles
13 - 2nd Place 6 - 2nd Place Series Titles
7 - 3rd Place 1 – 3rd Place & 1 - 4th Place & 1 – 6th Place Series Titles
40 - Finishes in the Top 3
51 - Finishes in the Top 5
