Team Monster Energy takes a disappointing DNF
Gilbert, AZ (June 24, 2008) – Team MonsterEnergy takes a disappointing DNF for the weekend at the 3rd round of the WE Rock West Series in Cedar City, UT June 20-22. The weekend definitely didn’t go as planned. Shannon was looking forward to getting some more seat time in the new Pro Modified buggy. One of the worst things to happen on an obstacle is electrical failure and that’s exactly what happened. The circuit breaker for the started failed and Shannon had to take a DNF on the course. The next obstacle was a pretty good hill climb. Team Monster Energy proceeded to make the climb only to take a bad hop causing the buggy to go over backwards. The front end of the buggy took the brunt of the roll causing major damage. Shannon and Nick were able to pull the buggy on the trailer and head home to make some repairs and get ready for the next rock crawl in Jellico, TN July 4-6. Team Monster Energy’s next event takes them back to Colorado Springs, CO June 28th for the R.O.C. rock race put on by Tanner 4x4. The twist for this event is that it is a 3 mile loop with high speed and rock crawling combined.
