Back To The Winner’s Circle For Rock Runner Racing
Cedar City, Utah (June 29, 2008) - Rock Runner Racing returned to the scorching heat of Cedar City for the third WE Rock event of the season. Cedar City has been good to Rock Runner Racing, at the last event held there the team placed second and third in the highly competitive Pro Modified class. Despite those impressive results, Rock Runner Racing was able to improve upon their finish and take the win in a field of nineteen competitors. Brian Errea and Joachim Schwiesow did so in dramatic fashion, rolling on the final course of the day and landing back on their wheels. Errea showed why he has so many previous event victories and had the presence of mind to drive through the end gates of the course, winning the event by a mere three points.
“I drove this same Twisted Customs buggy in a rock race last weekend,” Schwiesow commented, “it just seems shrug off abuse.” Much of the reliability can be attributed to Rock Runner Racing’s exceptional sponsors, which include BFGoodrich tires, Spidertrax axles, Trailready rims, and Detroit lockers. “Reliable equipment gives us more time to prepare for the courses,” add Errea, “without having to worry about changing parts or cutting tires.” Of the top six finishers in Cedar City, five were piloting cars built by the members of Rock Runner Racing at their fabrication shop, Twisted Customs.
Live webcam and radio updates were provided my Pirate4x4.com, and additional media representing DirtSports magazine, Crawl magazine, and WickedMag.com were also on hand in Cedar City to capture the action. The next stop for Rock Runner Racing is the final XRRA rock race of the season in Cortez, Colorado. The team will then travel to Donner, California, for the WE Rock season finale. Rock Runner Racing is in close contention for the series championship, to be decided in Donner.
