Carnage Crew Hails VICTORY at XRRA Series Championship
Denver, Co. (August 4, 2008) – Aaron Dusenbery arrived to the final race of the 2008 XRRA Series in Cortez, Colorado focused on capturing the 2008 XRRA Series Championship. Leading by a mere 5 points in the championship standings, Team Carnage Crew was determined to fight for the victory and in the end they battled with the best ending up on top of the series being crowned champions.

The nation’s fiercest competition, which included Shannon Campbell, J.T. Taylor, Rob Bonney, Joachim Schweisow, as well as many others, were poised to raise hell in search of taking their own run at the XRRA’s championship trophy.
The XRRA race course at Cortez, Colorado was designed to be a lightning fast race course with several long steep rocky climbs that ultimately turned out to be no match for the Thorton, Colorado hotshot driver, who has continued to turn heads all season long. Racing four courses along with the final shootout in the single-day event, Dusenbery’s Mickey Thompson Tires hooked up perfectly in the Colorado dirt. The single-seat rock racing buggy features suspension provided by FOX Racing Shox and it was dialed in as the car sucked up all the big bumps and allowed Aaron to blast the #66 race car through the dirt at high speed.
After the first two races of the season, Dusenbery jumped into the points lead as the top racers in the XRRA series positioned for the ultimate title. Dusenbery strategized his own race each weekend never looking back at the competition.

“Winning the championship is pretty damn cool,” said Dusenbery.
“We’ve been at this game for many years and we’ve come close a few times, but to actually claim the series as champions makes all that hard work worth it. We are in the midst of building a new two-seat race car designed specifically for rock racing versus rock crawling. We’ve made due with our single-seat car for the past couple years, but as this season gained momentum we just kept working hard each and every time we were on the race course and that strategy paid off.
Coming into this final race we knew the championship was on the line.
But with the highly competitive racers like Shannon, Rob Bonney and all the other guys we knew we had to fight to the end. In fact, even though we’re competitors on the race course, Shannon Campbell has been one of our biggest supporters and if anyone’s helped us out the most, it’s the Campbell brothers. We wouldn’t be here without the great support we have received from all of our race team partners.
Our new car is coming along and we’ll be testing in 8-weeks and preparing for next season,” commented 2008 XRRA Champion – Aaron Dusenbery.
Carnage Crew Team Owner – Kim Dusenbery commented, “Winning the championship puts the exclamation point on a great season. Aaron and the crew worked hard all season long. We’re not stopping here, we plan on coming back to defend our title, as well as moving forward into other series throughout the nation.”
