PRO ROCKCRAWLER NICOLE JOHNSON BECOMES THE BFGOODRICH TIRES LADY OF ROCKSPORTS
LAS VEGAS, NV - January 21, 2009 - After earning a respectable fifth place western series finish in 2008, Johnson Motorsports announced today its new partnership with BFGoodrich Tires for its quickly approaching 2009 rockcrawling season. Associated with many successful offroad teams, BFGoodrich Tires has captured numerous podium finishes at World Extreme Rockcrawling Championship Series (W.E.ROCK) competitions in recent years. The new partnership is expected to give the team a competitive advantage over its past performance.

"It is great to have Nicole and Frank onboard as part of the BFGoodrich Tires Family," stated Offroad Motorsports Coordinator Victor Angon of BFGoodrich Tires. "As a competitor, Nicole has been showing that she can hang in there with some of the best in the business and now she'll be on a level playing field with them, so to speak. We at BFGoodrich Tires are excited to see what the future holds for Johnson Motorsports."
The new partnership will also mean that lady driver Nicole Johnson will become the only female within rock sports to be officially sponsored by BFGoodrich Tires. "I am honored at the opportunity to represent BFGoodrich Tires and will work hard to make them proud," commented Nicole Johnson. "The confidence of our entire team has been boosted by what we've seen these tires do and we are very optimistic. We are eager to promote and work together with BFGoodrich Tires in what we know will be a fun and exciting year."
Nicole, teamed with husband and spotter Frank Johnson, will be competing on the BFGoodrich KrawlerTM T/A® KX this year in the W.E.ROCK West Series which kicks off April 3rd in Tucson, Arizona. Johnson Motorsports will also be backed by BFGoodrich Tires at the much-anticipated King of the Hammers (KOH) race on February 27 in Southern California. As the official tire sponsor of KOH, BFGoodrich Tires will be providing pit support for its teams - another plus for Johnson Motorsports, which will be debuting a new LS2-powered rock racer by Blue Torch FabWorks.
Las Vegas-based Johnson Motorsports will continue to define its team with positive media and innovative marketing partnerships through competitive professional motorsports in 2009.
