Rapid City, South Dakota - January 28, 2009 - Rock Runner Racing is proud to announce that they have team with Radflo for the 2009 season. “As our sport shifts from technical rockcrawling towards high speed events such as the King of the Hammers, shocks become critical” explained Rock Runner Racing manager George Wadeson. Rock Runner Racing has a reputation for developing innovative new products with their sponsors, such as BFGoodrich’s Krawler tires and Spidertrax’s 60 degree steering knuckles. The relationship between Radflo and Rock Runner Racing will be in the same vein, with Rock Runner Racing testing and providing feedback on rockcrawling and rock racing specific coilovers and air shocks.

Joachim Schwiesow’s new rock racing specific Twisted Customs buggy will use Radflo 2.5” coilovers coupled with Radflo air bumps at each corner. “The two and a half inch coilovers should dissipate heat much better than the two inch coilovers I have used in the past” Schwiesow noted, “and Glenn is really investing a lot of time in helping us valve the shocks for optimum performance.”

Schwiesow’s teammate Brian Errea will be using 14” travel 2.5” diameter Radflo air shocks on his new Twisted Customs buggy. This buggy is being built to compete in WE Rock’s extremely competitive Pro Modified class, where reliability and simplicity can be the difference between finishing first or ending up in the middle of the pack. Jason Paule’s new Twisted Customs buggy has perhaps the most daunting task of all, as it is being built to compete in both rockcrawling and rock racing competition. Paule’s Twisted Customs buggy will use front and rear steering Spider9 axles with Radflo three-tube bypass air shocks at each corner.

Radflo founder Glenn Classen stated that he “appreciates the opportunity to work with Rock Runner Racing and thrive off of the challenge of perfecting suspension components” for new and innovative applications. Over the course of Radflo’s seventeen year history they have provided suspension components for applications as varied as the South African Defense Force to Nissan’s factory sponsored Dakar teams.

Rock Runner Racing is busy preparing for February’s King of the Hammers and the upcoming WE Rock and XRRA seasons, hoping to build upon their 5th place finish in last year’s King of the Hammers and 3rd place finish in WE Rock’s Pro Modified division.
